The SW Rosa Road Pedestrian Improvement Project will complete sidewalk gaps along SW Rosa Road to create a continuous ADA accessible route from Farmington Road to 198th Avenue. The project will also upgrade existing ADA ramps at SW 185th Avenue and some of the existing stormwater pipes, along with added signage and striping. A signed and marked pedestrian crossing will be installed on SW Rosa Road at SW 192nd Avenue.

This $2.5 million project is funded through the 2018-2019 Urban Road Maintenance District (URMD). The project was originally recommended by the URMD Advisory Committee. In April 2019, an open house was held, with positive feedback about this project from attendees.

Since 2011, 49 URMD Pedestrian and Biking Improvement Projects totaling over $21 million have been funded. The public can submit Pedestrian and Biking Improvement proposals. Eligible proposals are added to the Pedestrian and Biking Improvements candidate list, which currently has more than 200 candidates.
